Officers with the Mount Shasta Police Department responded Saturday to the old KFC/Taco Bell building on Lake Street after reports that the building had been vandalized.
The building, which has been empty for more than a year since the fast food restaurant was shuttered, was tagged with red and white paint on its front windows, the building panels, and the rock work.
According to MSPD Lt. Joe Restine, the owners of the building, DeClerck Enterprises, was informed of the damages, but declined to file charges because they anticipate renovating the building in the near future.
