Police were investigating separate car crashes that left one person dead in one incident, and seven hurt in another. The 73-year-old driver of a passenger car died in a head-on collision with a truck near Broek in Waterland, Noord-Holland on Friday evening.This happened on the N247, a few kilometers from the connection with the A10 ring road. The driver of the passenger car was from the municipality of Waterland, the police reported.The truck driver was uninjured. There were no other passengers in the vehicles.
