Shortly thereafter, his placard was ripped from his hands and torn up. JOHANNESBURG - One student stood out among the scores of students protesting at Wits University on Tuesday. The unnamed student is seen holding up a poster that reads: 'Keep Wits open. it is my right to an education too' The poster was subsequently destroyed by protestors, but the student's stand comes amidst growing calls for the university to stay open.
Three quarters of the students who participated in a poll last week, voted for classes to resume today.
