Operation Pentagon drug sweep now underway in Hampton County
On Wednesday, July 21, the Hampton County Sheriff's Office announced that "Operation Pentagon" is currently underway.
Operation Pentagon was established to target illegal drug distribution in Hampton County. This operation has already included several arrests in the county and is ongoing.
Agencies involved in the operation are the Hampton County Sheriff's Office (HCSO), the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the State Law Enforcement Division (SLED), the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) and the Hampton Police Department (HPD).
Details of the individuals arrested and the charges have not yet been released. This is an active and continuing investigation.
