City appears to be taking baby steps with regard to segregating waste at source. In 38 wards where two vehicles are being sent to collect wet and dry waste separately, as part of the new system, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) is seeing anywhere between 1 per cent and 39 per cent segregation in 27 wards. The remaining nine wards still collect
mixed waste from both
bulk generators and the houses.
