P.S.U. Goes after Minister of Health and FinSec
This afternoon, just as most people were preparing for the long weekend, the Public Service Union of Belize issued a release blasting the “posturing and hypocrisy of the government” only days before the Joint Unions are set to resume negotiations with G.O.B. The union calls out the Minister of Health and Wellness for flagrant political interference and accuses his advisors on the transition team of “political victimization, bullying and intimidation of career public officers.” The P.S.U. says it has copies of several termination letters signed by the C.E.O. in the ministry dismissing public officers without any valid or justified reasons. They criticize Prime Minister John Briceño for his “inability to reign in the Minister of Health and Wellness and his political lackeys.”
