During the fore part of the month, April 11, 83 degrees was the warmest. 75 years ago April 25, 1946 Roy "Jackie" Buchanan was fined $100 and sentenced to 30 days in jail when he appeared in city court here last Thursday afternoon to plead guilty to charges of assault and battery. Bobby Morris arrested by Prineville police after the same incident, pleaded guilty to charges of using obscene language in a public place and was fined $50 and sentenced to 10 days in jail. City Recorder Curtis Saunders suspended both jail sentences on condition that the two young men stay away from Prineville for at least a year, a condition which they accepted. They had been arrested after a brawl on Wednesday afternoon.
