Ava Roasteria HQ will add apartments to downtown Tigard The Main Street property will house a coffee shop, Ava headquarters and house 22 apartments. Ava Roasteria has purchased a former "brownfield" site on Tigard's Main Street where it plans to locate its newest coffee shop and corporate headquarters along with apartments in an expansive 4-story, mixed use building. The deal went through on Tuesday, when Ava Tigard Development LLC purchased the property from Tigard's Town Center Development Agency for $390,000, according to a city news release. The city originally purchased the property in 2015, demolishing the old Saxony building and spending two years cleaning up the so-called brownfield. Brownfields are pieces of property whose soil has on-site contamination that must be contained or removed under U.S. Environmental Protection Agency guidelines.
