Colin Bolek served on the Newberg Planning Commission as a sophomore at NHS and continued for two years. Now, in an effort to encourage other youths to participate in local government, Bolek teamed with City Recorder Sue Ryan to bring a resolution before the Newberg City Council in mid-March that would add student representatives to all of the city's boards, committees and commissions.
