Local man dies in electrocution accident
A Prineville man died Tuesday afternoon after accidentally getting electrocuted at his home.
According to a Crook County Sheriff's Office report, the accident was reported around 3 p.m. When county deputies arrived at the Lakeshore RV Park residence on Ochoco Highway east of Prineville, they found 26-year-old Kyle Johnson, who was lying on the ground next to a camp trailer, unresponsive and not breathing.
Deputies disconnected the power supplies to the camp trailer, but it was unclear if any other external/homemade power supplies were connected to the trailer. Medics from Crook County Fire and Rescue arrived on scene shortly after and utilized non-conductive tools to disconnect the remaining power cord/power supply. Johnson was pronounced deceased.
