Southwest Portland school hosts No Place for Hate web seminar Ida B. Wells-Barnett High School will host Community Conversation About Race The recently renamed Ida B. Wells-Barnett High School will host a No Place for Hate-Community Conversation About Race web seminar Wednesday evening, Feb. 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. The event is being hosted in partnership with the Anti-Defamation League Pacific Northwest. The event will focus on combating racism and prejudice through dialogue. "Our peer facilitators have been working to prepare for this event since early November," said Ayesha Coning, a vice principal at Wells-Barnett High School. Coning said school leaders are expecting a sizable turnout, including a few elected officials.
