Rich Flowers Kiwanis Pancake Day is one of Athensâ longest lasting traditions, but that doesnât mean there havenât been changes along the way. The 2021 version is 6 a.m to 8 p.m, Tuesday, May 4 at the First United Methodist Church fellowship hall. Tickets are $6 pre-sale and $7 at the door. âI think we may be surprised at the turnout, because people want to get back to normal,â said Jeaneane Lilly, Athens Kiwanis President. Pancake Day Committee Chairman Thomas Faulk said theyâre doing things a little differently this year in the interest of COVID-19 safety. What hasnât changed is their offering of a delicious meal for just a few bucks.
