The Seneca County Sheriffs Office announced Wednesday both Samuel and Fannie Stoltzfus were charged with endangering the welfare of a child in the Oct. 23 incident. Deputies say they were called to a home on Ernsberger Road in Romulus for an unresponsive three-year-old boy. Crews performed life-saving measures, but the boy died at Geneva General Hospital. Deputies say the child was left alone in a barn, and accidentally drowned in a container filled with liquid. They say both parents did call for emergency medical services.
