April 12, 2021 Stock Photo of CHP Vehicle A pedestrian is dead after being struck by a vehicle in Healdsburg. The CHP reports that the collision happened early Saturday morning on southbound 101, south of Central Healdsburg. A Jeep Cherokee was reportedly driving at the speed limit in the left lane when they saw a pedestrian standing in their lane. The 16-year-old driver tried to avoid hitting the person but failed. The driver immediately pulled over and called 911 after the crash. The pedestrian’s identity is being withheld pending family notification. The driver and the other two occupants in the vehicle were uninjured.
