Peter Pan review: Roddy Doyle's Neverland resembles a school play

This is the most problem-ridden show I’ve seen on an Irish stage in years, possibly ever. The script adaptation of the JM Barrie story by Roddy Doyle is unremarkable, having none of Doyle’s characteristic wit or social acuity. Director Ned Bennett chooses to overcomplicate the material rather than discipline it. And the set by Niall McKeever and costumes by Katie Davenport are a jumbled mix of migraine-inducing textile designs and visual chaos.
