Pickering PXI/PXIe multiplexer module supports MIL-STD-1553 testing
Pickering Interfaces, a supplier of modular signal switching and simulation solutions, has launched a new PXI/PXIe multiplexer module optimised for MIL-STD-1553 testing applications.
With a differential bandwidth of 450 MHz, which far exceeds the requirements of MIL-STD-1553, model 40/42-739 is available in single or dual 4:1, 8:1 or 16:1 differential configurations.
Using telecommunications-grade electromechanical relays, the 40/42-739 multiplexer has a minimal initial signal path resistance of less than 450 mΩ and features impedance-controlled differential pairs with a single-ended characteristic impedance of 39 Ω and a differential impedance of 78 Ω, within the MIL-STD-1553-specified range of 70-85 Ω. Its compact, single-slot footprint with PXI or PXIe control interface provides flexibility in chassis selection and minimises chassis slot count.
