Pierson grows into role over past year HCMCF has one of lowest infection rates in county FacebookTwitterEmail Bette Pierson (Tribune File Photo) HURON COUNTY — When Bette Pierson first started her role as an infection control registered nurse in February, she could not have imagined how complicated it would become over the next few months. Now, at the end of the year, Pierson has grown into her role for the safety of those she works with at the Huron County Medical Care Facility and those she sees staying at the facility every day. “Battling a global pandemic has been by far a group effort,” Pierson said. “I could not do this alone. Our administrative team works very diligently together on all COVID-19 policies and protocols. Staff have also been wonderful and compliant to the ongoing policy changes.”
