Pine Island gears up for Winter Fest : vimarsana.com

There's more than one Winter Fest. Every last Saturday in January — in other words, this Saturday — it's time for Pine Island Winter Fest, an all-day event featuring the best of the great outdoors: ice skating, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice fishing, and snow golfing. Plus, there are craft activities, dance lessons, bingo, a chili and soup dinner, and live music, all indoors.
The 8th Annual Pine Island Winter Fest will take place Saturday, Jan. 30, with a self-serve theme.
The outdoor festivities will include groomed snowshoe trails at the Pine Island Golf Course, as well as cross-country skiing trails, if there's enough snow.
