Pittsburghers can get their long-awaited fix of fireworks on the Fourth of July at Point State Park. Mayor Bill Peduto announced Monday that the city’s traditional fireworks display will return after a one-year hiatus because of the pandemic.
“It’s time to get together and celebrate our life and independence – together,” said Peduto. “After a year of suffering, there is no better way to do that than joining our neighbors for the most Pittsburgh of all things, which of course is a giant fireworks display.”
