Last night the Pittsfield Police responded the to city's third ShotSpotter alert in as many days. Yesterday, Thursday, June 3, shortly after 11:00 pm, officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the area of 266 Francis Avenue. Upon their arrival, officers observed a motor vehicle that had been struck by gunfire. The vehicle was occupied by three individuals, including two small children. No injuries were reported. A second vehicle that was unoccupied was also struck by bullets. Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to contact Detective Matos at 413-448-9700 x576.
