Planning Commission recommends use permit for Solano private road events Michael Reagan FAIRFIELD — A fully constituted Solano County Planning Commission unanimously recommended Thursday to the Board of Supervisors – for a second time – that a minor use permit be required for special event facilities and hosted short-term vacation rentals on property along private roads. The commission had to address the proposed ordinance for a second time because of changes made Jan. 26 by the supervisors. The commission made its first recommendation Nov. 19. Among the changes are notification requirements of a permit application that extend beyond the usual county requirements, as well as water, waste disposal and similar issues.
