Poole Museum DETAILS of the plan to remodel and improve Poole Museum have been lodged with local planners. The scheme involves changes to the internal layout to create new gallery spaces and a learning hub, new windows, better roof insulation and a larger lift. Details of the proposals for the Grade 1 listed building are contained in almost thirty documents submitted to BCP council. The museum says the changes to the inside of the building will improve the link between the main building and Wool Hall, also known as The Town Cellars, and create a new ground floor maritime galleries. The Wool Hall itself is said to be in need of ‘significant’ conservation work.
