PM Imran Khan stresses int’l cooperation under UN to address Climate Change - ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan has underlined the need for enhanced international cooperation under the UN auspices to address Climate Change and Environmental Degradation. Talking to the President of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Volkan Bozkir who held a meeting with him in Islamabad on Thursday, the prime minister also emphasized the international cooperation to ensure the provision of debt relief to support the Developing Countries’ economic recovery efforts and attainment of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by the target date of 2030. During the meeting, a wide range of issues pertaining to regional and international peace and security, sustainable development and economic recovery efforts in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic were discussed.
