Published July 29, 2021, 3:38 PM A 40-yearold police sergeant assigned at Camp Crame in Quezon City was the latest fatality of the Philippine National Police (PNP) from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). PNP spokesman Brig. Gen. Ronnie Olay said the 40-year old cop with a rank of Police Staff Sergeant was the 82nd PNP personnel who died of complications due to COVID-19. “He was tested positive of the virus on July 11 and was immediately brought to a Quarantine Facility. On July 24, he was rushed to nearby hospital due to difficulty of breathing. On July 27, said cop died due with Acute Respiratory Failure and Pneumonia as underlying causes of death,” said Olay.
