Pocomoke community surprises well-known bishop for his birthday January 9, 2021 POCOMOKE, Md.- Friends and family came from far and wide to Pocomoke Saturday afternoon to wish Bishop Isaac Jenkins Senior a happy 90th birthday. “We’re just so happy that god has given us this day to celebrate him, 90 years that’s a blessing,” Gloria Broady, Jenkins’ daughter, said. Jenkins’ daughters wanted to honor their dad with a party, but COVID-19 changed their plans into a birthday car parade. They say it is well deserved as he’s been giving back to the community since coming to Pocomoke in 1960. He was a bishop for 57 years and ran a program that helped troubled youth.
