A local man with a prior record is facing an extensive list of burglary-related charges, with the alleged victims including businesses in the downtown area. A City of Rocky Mount spokesman told the Telegram the man, Kelvin Vick, 51, is the same person interim police Chief Charles Williams was referring to at the Dec. 14 City Council work session when he announced an arrest had been made in connection with several commercial break-ins. Judicial system records show the most recent of the burglaries Vick is charged with having committed occurred on the Edgecombe County side of Rocky Mount. Vick is charged with felony breaking or entering and felony larceny after breaking or entering at the Taste of Paradise restaurant in the 100 block of Atlantic Avenue, the records said.
