Date Time Police charge man over assault and carjacking of elderly man at Moruya A man will face court today, charged over the alleged assault and carjacking of an elderly man on the state’s South Coast last week. Just after 2.20pm on Tuesday 20 July 2021, emergency services were called to a carpark on Vulcan Street, Moruya, after reports of an assault. Police have been told an 83-year-old man was in the carpark when he was approached by an unknown man allegedly who knocked him to the ground and stole his car keys, before fleeing the scene in the man’s vehicle.
