Police: Man charged in fatal shooting of Larry Fields, 60, last month in Lansing View Comments LANSING – A 30-year-old Lansing man has been charged in connection with the shooting death of Larry Willis Fields last month on Climax Street. The suspect's name was being withheld pending an arraignment hearing Saturday, Lansing Police Public Information Director Robert Merritt said in a news release. The man is charged with murder, felony firearm possession and being a felon in possession of a firearm, Merritt said. Fields, 60, of Lansing, was shot on the night of April 21 in the 1100 block of Climax Street. Officers tried to revive Fields, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
