Police: No signs of foul play in case of skeletal remains
SAUGATUCK TWP. — The Allegan County Sheriff's Office is waiting for answers to the identity of a set of skeletal human remains found by hunters in Saugatuck Township on Sunday.
Although the cause of death is unknown and the case is under investigation, the sheriff's office has no reason to suspect foul play at this stage of the investigation, according to Lt. Brett Ensfield of the Allegan County Sheriff's Office.
"We didn't see anything indicative of that," Ensfield said.
The remains were found, uncovered, in a wooded area several hundred yards from the intersection of 63rd Street and 134th Avenue by a group of hunters, who notified police.
