Police: Pair charged with West Hartford kidnapping FacebookTwitterEmail 1of3 2of3 3of3 WEST HARTFORD — Two people were charged Monday night in connection with a knife-point kidnapping last month, according to police. Capt. Michael Perruccio said members of the Detective Division, Community Support Unit and Emergency Services Unit served two high-risk warrants around 6 p.m. Monday in the case of a Jan. 28 kidnapping. Jalen Faucette-Smith, 20, of New Britain, was taken into custody at the West Farms Mall on New Britain Avenue. Teesa McElroy, also 20 and from New Britain, was taken into custody after a vehicle stop on I-84 in Hartford. Perruccio said during the Jan. 28 incident, a 21-year-old man was kidnapped as he walked eastbound on Boulevard from Trout Brook Drive.
