Port Arthur Stadium Will Stay Put

The city has no further plans when it comes to Port Arthur Stadium.
The 69 year old ballpark on Winnipeg Avenue was brought up in the Grant Thornton report looking at delivery and savings in city programs and services.
“Port Arthur Stadium has a key tenant and is an important legacy facility for our community so at this time we’re taking no action on the [Grant Thornton] recommendation,” says City Manager Norm Gale.
The park, which hosts the Thunder Bay Border Cats, has a capacity of 3,031 people and seats 2,581.
