Portable technology offers boost for nuclear security, arms

An MIT team has developed a portable, compact, affordable version of the neutron resonance transmission analysis (NRTA) system for identifying elemental composition of nuclear and other materials which overcomes obstacles such as size and expense which have limited its on-site utility.
