Possible Assault Suspects Detained At Gunpoint In Canyon Country Two possible assault suspects were detained at gunpoint Tuesday evening in Canyon Country, officials said. At around 7:40 Tuesday evening, deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station detained two assault suspects at gunpoint near Whites Canyon Road and Ashboro Drive just north of Todd Longshore Park in Canyon Country, according to Lieutenant James Royal with the station. “There were two guys matching the description of some suspects who were wanted for felony crimes over the past few days,” said Royal. The two detained individuals were later revealed to not be the specific persons in question.
