FAIRFIELD-SUISUN, CALIFORNIA Press Release: e Who You Needed When You Were Younger. Five Reasons to volunteer at the Fairfield PAL Center as tutor! Help us make a difference afterschool! Volunteers are needed to help Tuesdays and Thursdays between 4pm and 8pm for the PAL Center’s G.P.A. Boot Camp / We Are Ready program. We Are Ready (WAR) helps answer the question of “Why does high school matter to me?” Through WAR, we offer academic support, high school readiness, and college exploration opportunities to help student make connections between academic and professional success, including college and trade programs. Volunteers will provide one on one and group tutoring, lead study skills and testing workshops and assist with career development and planning. High School students are encouraged to volunteer! Program starts August 24. Volunteers may sign up for any time during the program.
