The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh” (Proverbs 11:16 KJV). “A gracious woman retaineth honour,” or keeps, why? Because she is gracious. By grace, she has honor. She receives honor. “. . . and strong men retain riches,” men, by strength and women by grace. She has the right spirit, the right attitude. Grace is something that you do for people when they don’t deserve it. In our salvation, it is God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense. For by grace are we saved.
