Proposal to set up joint health platform mooted for Arab league By: ONA Muscat: The Sultanate, represented by the Ministry of Health, participated in meetings of the executive bureau of Arab Health Ministers in preparation for the 54th ordinary session of the Council due to be held via video-conferencing on Monday. Oman was represented in the meeting by Dr Ahmed Mohammed Al Sa’eedi, Minister of Health. The meeting reviewed and endorsed agenda of the forthcoming online health ministers’ session. The executive bureau is expected to submit an urgent recommendation for discussion before the Arab Health Ministers Meeting in Monday’s session, including a proposal to set up a joint platform under the Arab league (and in cooperation with Health and Housing ministers) to undertake quick response to emergency situations, including catastrophes and accidents that might cause great loss of life.
