The Alberta government is spending $714,000 over two years to develop a new campus at the University of Alberta to help veterans transition to the civilian world.
The two-year pilot project announced on Feb. 4 will offer specialized on-campus supports and resources for military veteran students to help them achieve their career and educational goals. Students can begin accessing the services during the 2021-22 academic year. The province hopes that the pilot project will become a roadmap for other post-secondary institutes to follow.
