July 11, 2021 ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) plans a $12,000 PSA International event at the Mushaf Ali Mir Complex late August or early September mainly to help improve leading local players' ranking who rarely get a chance of flexing their muscles amid growing Covid fears around the world. Talking to ‘The News’, a PSF official has confirmed that PSA has been approached for the event that was meant for the local players. “Our leading players are finding it difficult to improve or retain their PSA ranking mainly because they are not getting equal chances of playing international events. There are a couple of big reasons for that. The risk of the Covid and related expenditures are making it increasingly difficult for these players to travel off and on abroad,” he said.
