Punjab to Get a Price Control Authority to End Hoarding & Profiteering The Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Information, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan, announced that the Punjab Price Control Authority will be established soon. While addressing a press conference during her visit to the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) Headquarter on Tuesday, Dr. Awan said that the government of Punjab had promulgated the Prevention of Hoarding Ordinance, 2020 to prevent traders from hoarding essential items which had led to both fake shortages and raised prices.
