Purdue students after receiving their first dose of the vaccine back in April (WBAA News/Ben Thorp) Purdue University announced on Thursday that it will enter students into a lottery for free tuition if they can provide documentation proving that they’ve been vaccinated against COVID-19. Ten people will be randomly selected from a pool of students who provide proof of vaccination to the university. Those ten students will receive one year’s worth of in-state tuition, which the university says is valued at just under $10,000. The lottery shows how far Purdue is willing to go in order to incentivize students to get vaccinated - without making it a requirement.
