Synopsis
Retail sales will see a more sharper fall this month at 1.5-1.8 lakh units. " This is not even 55 per cent of the sales reported in March 2021," says Vinkesh Gulati, president of the Federation of Dealers Association.

Passenger vehicle sales are expected to fall by 11% in April at 2.85 lakh units compared to March 2021, as the surge in Covid 19 cases has put a brake on sales that were witnessing an upward spike until 2-3 weeks ago.
While that expectation has taken a hit, industry experts hope for a quick turnaround when the pandemic situation improves, as was seen after the first wave last year.
