Qamco net profit increases 1000% to QR124m in Q1 29 Apr 2021 - 11:35 The Peninsula Qatar Aluminium Manufacturing Company (Qamco) yesterday reported a net profit of QR124m for the first quarter (Q1 2021), an increase of over 1,000 percent compared to QR11m during the same period last year, registering the Company’s best quarterly profit since incorporation. Earnings per share (EPS) stood at QR0.022 compared to QR0.002 for Q1 2020. Qamco’s improved financial results during the period was driven by growth in global aluminium prices on the back of improved macroeconomic dynamics. The overall growth in average realised selling prices increased by 15 percent in the first quarter against the same period in 2020 which contributed QR83m positively to the net profits in Q1 2021 compared to the same period last year.
