QC Public Works Departments say supply of salt, plow drivers unaffected by pandemic The Moline Public Works Department received its first salt shipment of the season of 1,500 tons, just in time for Tuesday's snowfall. Author: Andrea Flores Updated: 5:11 PM CST December 29, 2020 A 1,500 ton salt delivery arrived right on time for Tuesday's snowfall. Municipal Services General Manager Rodd Schick says the department had extra salt in its reserves because of milder conditions last winter. He says the pandemic hasn't impacted how much product the department gets.
