The acquisition plan was first unveiled in January when Qualcomm had agreed to pay $1.4 billion as part of the deal. With the acquisition done, Qualcomm now expects to integrate next-gen CPUs across its portfolio of products including smartphones, laptops, digital cockpits, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, extended reality, and infrastructure networking solutions. The first Snapdragon products to benefit from NUVIA’s expertise will be CPUs designed for high-performance ultraportable laptops but those are over a year away according to the company.
