Cornwall city council voted in favour of closing the downtown street from Second to First streets and from First Street to 58 Pitt St. during its last meeting. According to a report presented by administration and requested by Coun. Justin Towndale, the closure was supported by several downtown businesses as well as the Downtown Business Improvement Association (BIA) and the Cornwall and Area Chamber of Commerce.
