Quincentennial crosses at Cebu-Mactan bridge lighted : vimar

CEBU CITY – The Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) was a sight to behold Thursday night following the lighting of the eight quincentennial crosses on top of the structure’s twin pylons.
Fireworks light up the night sky during the blessing and ceremonial lighting of the eight crosses of the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) 8.5 km Bridge officiated by Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma on Thursday night. The event is one of the activities of the 500 years of Christianity in the Philippines. The installation of the crosses was inspired by the Magellan’s Cross that was erected 500 years ago.
