On Monday students returned to the school, on Higher Lane, Rainford. While keen to catch up with friends and staff, they did so in a safe and controlled manner. The school is now looking to finish the academic year successfully and then move into "the calmer waters" of next year. Principal Ian Young, said: “It has been great seeing our students back on school premises this week. In line with Government guidelines, we have strengthened our protective measures to ensure the safety of all students and staff here at Rainford High. “We actually began our on-site testing last week and will continue to test until students begin home testing in a week or so time.
