A rally demanding speedy justice for the mysterious death of a 21-year-old youth leader in Sikkim turned violent on Monday, resulting in injuries to some police personnel. Tear gas was used to control the situation, and several people have been arrested. The youth leader's body was found in a drain under suspicious conditions. His family claims the police have ample proof to declare it murder and apprehend the culprits. The Sikkim government has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the death, and a report is expected on August 12.
