Grateful and unforgettable: Nurain and Ahmad Shafiq PETALING JAYA: Welcoming Ramadan in a Covid-19 quarantine facility was not how Ahmad Shafiq Iqbal Mohd Musalleh envisioned spending the holy month. Instead of breaking fast with his parents at their home in Gombak, the 29-year-old bank employee found himself grabbing a packed meal on the first day of Ramadan. When an ambulance dropped him off at the National Leprosy Control Centre in Sungai Buloh on April 10, just three days before the fasting month, he said he kept negative thoughts at bay and focused on the positives. He had taken a swab test on April 7 as he had a fever and sore throat. The next day, he was informed he had Covid-19.
