Her solo show titled “Studio Work; Drawn to Solace” opened May 13 and runs until June 2. Her education in art included Parson’s School of Design, several extended stays in Europe including an intensive study of art history and painting in Florence, and fine arts studies at S.U.N.Y. Purchase. Continuing her artwork with watercolors and plein air painting for many years, Hanley-Warren also created works for Damariscotta Pottery which is well known for its colorful Majolica pottery. The shop closed last year and since then Hanley-Warren has been focusing on her paintings.
